Carole graduated from Winona State with an elementary teaching degree in 1962. At that time, her parents were able to pay her college costs.

Today, college expenses have risen dramatically, presenting students with a financial challenge. It would give Carole immense pleasure to award a scholarship to a deserving student whose major is elementary education. Both she and her mother recognized that aspiring elementary teachers will provide their future students with a solid educational foundation, something they were able to do. Her gift for these students will benefit our whole society.
