Becky Morgan Eberhard Memorial Scholarship
The Becky Morgan Eberhard Memorial Scholarship is to encourage and support students admitted into the WSU Nursing Program as a full-time student with a GPA or 3.0 or greater who has financial need.
Criteria
A. A student enrolled full-time in good standing at Winona State University
B. Declared Major in Nursing and been admitted to the Nursing program
C. Demonstrated strong academic achievement, as evidenced by a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
D. Demonstrated financial need
E. Recipient must be Junior of Senior status
Biography/Motivation
Becky Morgan graduated from Winona Senior High School with honors. Becky earned a BS degree in Nursing from St. Theresas College in 1957. She taught in the LPN program at Winona General Hospital for the Winona Area Technical College from 1957-1961. She received commendations from the Superintendent of Schools for the high scores her students received on their State LPN Licensing examinations. Becky was one of the original organizers for the Winona County Mental Health Association and was co-chair of the Alumni association at St. Theresas College. Becky was a loving wife and devoted mother to her two daughters, Kim and Kari. Becky and her daughters were tragically killed by a drunk driver December 14, 1966 as they were crossing a busy street in Roseville, MN.
