Harry Jackson Scholarship
The Harry Jackson Scholarship is created for students who have earned a letter in the WSU football program.
1. Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time at Winona State University.
2. Each recipient must have earned a WSU letter in football, be classified as a junior and be in good standing at Winona State University with a minimum grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.2 (4.0 A).
3. Each recipient must meet all of the requirements as stipulated by conference and national organization eligibility rules.
The fund is a memorial to Dr. Harry R. Jackson who served for 33 years on the staff of Winona State University as a professor of Industrial Education before retiring in 1969. He also served as the football coach from 1936 to 1946 In 1939 the WSU football team won the Northern Intercollegiate Conference championship under his direction.
