Tyrre and Jennifer Burks Football Scholarship

In April of 2018, the Tyrre and Jennifer Burks Football Scholarship was established with the Winona State University Foundation. The scholarship will benefit and encourage students who are members of the Winona State University Football Team.

Criteria

1. Recipients must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time and in good standing at Winona State University (minimum of 12 credits per semester, Fall and Spring). The candidate must also be a member of the Winona State University Football Team.
2. Preference will be given to an African-American student athlete, from an inner-city environment.
3. Preference will be given to a student-athlete with a GPA of 2.8 or above
4. Preference will be given to a student-athlete enrolled in the HERS Program

Background & Motivation
Attending Winona State University is one the best decisions I have ever made! I was able play the game of football at a very high level while working with and meeting some of the most loving, caring, and supportive people I have ever met.
