Background and Motivation
Rachel Schromen graduated from Winona State University in 2010 earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Society, with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She went on to graduate from William Mitchell College of Law in 2013. Rachel has utilized her law degree to serve the underprivileged by providing pro bono legal services to those in need – including terminal cancer patients, veterans, first responders, vulnerable adults and victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
In her private practice Rachel is owner and managing partner of Schromen Law, LLC where she works to protect vulnerable adults from becoming victims of elder abuse and/or financial exploitation through providing estate planning and elder law legal representation.
Rachel received scholarships while attending Winona State and through law school. Without the scholarships, Rachel would not currently have the freedom and flexibility she has to do as much pro bono and volunteer work as she does. Rachel is grateful to have the ability to help support a WSU student’s goal of attending college, with the intent of establishing a career that will further women’s rights and/or LGBTQ issues and/or serve those communities.
