Ethel Gage Jessen

The Ethel Gage Jessen Scholarship is established to encourage and support undergraduate students that are patriotic American citizens. Recipients should be students of promise and potential as well as patriotic American citizens.

Criteria

1. Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time and in good standing at Winona State University (minimum of 12 credits per semester, Fall and Spring)
2. Each recipient must be a veteran
3. Each recipient must have a G.P.A of 3.0 or higher.
4. As part of the application process for this scholarship, the student must submit an essay describing the following:

• Explain what being a patriotic citizen means to you.

Biography/Motivation

Ethel, a friend of the university, generously left a portion of her estate to Winona State University to fund scholarship for patriotic American citizens.
