Bay State Milling Community Service Scholarship

The Bay State Milling Student Community Service Scholarship’s purpose is to create a recognition system to encourage our young citizens to participate in voluntary community service. Every year, a scholarship is awarded to an outstanding college student who has, through their dedication and commitment to their community, and through their service and volunteerism, greatly enhanced civic life in their community. The recipient embodies the true spirit of civic engagement.

Criteria

Each recipient must be an undergraduate student, sophomore or junior, enrolled full-time (i.e., minimum of twelve credits per semester) at Winona State University
Strong financial need
G.P.A. of 2.5 (minimum)

Biography/Motivation

Winona State University established the Student Community Service Scholarship program in 2005 to honor students for their efforts to engage with their local communities and achieve results that truly affect the lives of their fellow citizens. This scholarship is awarded for extraordinary endeavors and has been generously sponsored by Bay State Milling. The Student Community Service Scholarships are an opportunity to recognize people for their outstanding community service and to inspire further service.
