Bernice Hills Scholarship

The Bernice Hills Scholarship is created to encourage and support students who have declared a major in Education with a 3.0 GPA or greater.


1. The recipient must be a declared Education major.
2. The recipient must be academically eligible with a minimum g.p.a of 3.0.
3. The recipient must demonstrate community service or volunteer activities


Bernice was born in 1899 and raised in Minneapolis. She was an only child. Bernice graduated in 1919 from Winona Normal School and taught 5th grade in Richfield Minnesota her entire teaching career. She was also interested in traveling, woodworking and construction. Bernice passed in 2001 at the age of 101.
