Glenn E. Fishbaugher Scholarship
Glenn E . Fishbaugher, for 41 years, was a much loved faculty member and administrator at Winona State University. Mr. Fishbaugher was born February 10, 1899, near Harmony, Minnesota . He was a graduate of Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa . He taught at Chatfield, Minnesota, before moving to Winona in 1926, where he taught and was a principal at Phelps Laboratory School at Winona State University. Later he was named director of training and placement, a position from which he retired in 1967. He served on many WSU, State University System, professional and city organizations . Mr. Fishbaugher passed away on March 21, 1991, at the age of
92. This scholarship fund was established by members of his family (sons Mr. John Fishbaugher, Mercer Island, Washington and Mr. James Fishbaugher, Edina, Minnesota; and daughters, Mrs. Jack (Mary) Smith, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; and Mrs. James (Katherine) Fine, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) and friends to perpetualize his memory at Winona State .
