Larry & Serena Holstad Athletic Scholarship

The Larry & Serena Holstad Athletic Scholarship was set up to provide financial assistance to both the men’s and women’s athletic programs. Larry was a 1967 graduate and played football at Winona State. After an extensive secondary education career, he returned to Winona State as the Athletic Director for 15 years, during which time he also coached football and softball. Serena was a 15-year employee of Winona State in the Student Union where she touched many students’ lives. Larry & Serena have three daughters, all of which are WSU grads, as well as two son-in-laws.

We all have great memories and experiences from our time at Winona State and want to give back for others to have the same opportunity! Larry and Serena’s deep love for WSU is evidenced by their generous spirit and compelling commitment to students and WSU.
