Harriet Johnson August Scholarship

The Harriet Johnson August Scholarship was established through her estate plan as an endowed scholarship in the WSU Foundation. This scholarship encourages and supports students from the Winona, MN area, who have a financial need who may otherwise have not been able to attend college.

Criteria

Each first time recipient must be an incoming freshman enrolled full-time at WSU (minimum of 12 credits each semester).
Strong preference will be given to a graduate of Winona Senior High School. If there are no strong candidates from Winona Senior High, the committee may consider a graduate from another public school close to Winona.
Finalists for the scholarship will be invited to meet with the WSU Foundation Scholarship Interview Committee for an interview.
