Lenore Coburn Minne Scholarship

The Lenore Coburn Minne Scholarship is created for students who have declared a major in WSU’s Elementary Education program.

Criteria

1. Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time (minimum 15 credit hours) at Winona State University.
2. Each recipient must be classified as a junior and be in good standing at Winona State University with a minimum grade point average (g.p.a.) of 3.0 (4.0= A).
3. Each recipient must be a declared major in Winona State Universitys Elementary Education program.
4. Each recipient must have been accepted into the Teacher Education Program.
5. Each recipient must have declared an academic minor.

Biography/Motivation

The Lenore Coborn Minne Elementary Education Scholarship Fund was established through a bequest to the Winona State University Foundation included in the last will and testament of Dr. Nels Minne, who passed away on June 2, 1991, and memorial tributes to Dr. Minne. Dr. Minne, who served as President of Winona State University from 1944 through 1966, chose to honor his late wife through the bequest.
