Virginia Richter Scholarship

The Virginia Richter Scholarship is created for students majoring in Elementary Education at WSU.

Criteria

1. Each recipient must be an Elementary Education major at WSU
2. Each recipient must be in good standing at Winona State University and possess a minimum grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 (A=4.0)
3. Each recipient must demonstrate financial need through WSU’s Financial Aid Office.

Biography/Motivation

The Virginia Richter Elementary Education Scholarship was established to honor the dedication and lifelong enthusiasm of Virginia’s devotion to education. Virginia exemplifies the high academic and moral standards put forth by educators of children, Virginia is a model member of Winona State University. Virginia, demonstrated kindness and compassion to her students, and is involved in the Winona community. Her passion and devotion to teaching is highly commendable and should be seen as a model example for all future teachers.
