Barb and Ron White Softball Scholarship

In May of 2019, the Barb and Ron White Softball Scholarship was established with the Winona State University Foundation. The scholarship will benefit and encourage students who are members of the Winona State Women’s Softball Team.

Criteria
1. Recipient must be a member of the WSU Softball Team
2. Recipient must be academically eligible for participation (No minimal GPA Requirements-Freshmen are eligible)

Background and Motiviation
Barb and Ron White have been ardent supporters of WSU Athletics since Ron and Barb both graduated from Winona State University. Ron played football in the 1960’s at Winona State and appreciates and respects the rigorous schedule required by student-athletes today. Ron and Barb enjoy watching a variety of WSU sporting activities and would like to support the Women’s softball program with an academic/athletic scholarship to provide a quality academic/athletic experience and continue to help grow and develop the WSU Women’s Softball Program. Ron previously coaches Girl’s/Women’s softball at a variety of levels and has a tremendous appreciation for the sport and the dedication/commitment demonstrated by WSU athletes.
