Biography/Motivation
Ken and Sally Mogren both graduated from WSU, Ken in 1970 and Sally in 1972.
Ken’s entire career was in the insurance industry. He was President of Winona Agency, Inc., and taught insurance for many years as an adjunct faculty member at WSU. He has also served as a trustee of the WSU Foundation for many years. Sally taught kindergarten and second grade in Winona area schools and was the children’s librarian at the Winona Public Library prior to retiring from full-time work. They have three adult sons, Sam, Max and Ben.
The Ken and Sally Mogren Scholarship is awarded to athletes who participate in golf or cross country. Their interest in helping non-revenue sports stems from Ken’s participation on the WSU golf team and their sons’ involvement in non-revenue sports as college athletes.
