Physics & Chemistry Teaching Scholarship

In July 2024, the Physics & Chemistry Teaching Scholarship was established with the Winona State University Foundation. The scholarship will benefit and encourage students who are majoring in Physics or Chemistry Education.

  2. Fulltime status
  3. Declared major of Education with specialization in Chemistry or Physics
  4. Admitted to the College of Education
  5. GPA of 2.75

Background and Motivation
Ryan Sinning, along with his wife, Meghan are honored to offer a Physics and Chemistry Teaching Scholarship. As a football student athlete, Ryan is a three-time alum of Winona State University, earning a bachelor’s in teaching in Physics and Chemistry (2000), an American Chemical Society bachelor’s degree (2009), and a final terminal degree from Winona State of a Professional Science Master (2015) with a focus in Chemistry.

Ryan and Meghan have a high level of passion for education and, with the Physics and Chemistry Teaching Scholarships, want to support future educators with the same passion. This vital scholarship supports aspiring educators who will ignite curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists. Investing in these future teachers ensures that students receive top-notch instruction in the fundamental sciences, driving innovation and discovery.
