Mettille Family Scholarship

The Mettille Family Scholarship is created to provide assistance to promising students who are seeking a degree at WSU.

Criteria

1. Each recipient must be an undergraduate student sophomore, junior or senior or fifth year senior enrolled full-time at WSU
2. Each recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.25
3. Preference will be given to a student from Minnesota

Biography/Motivation

The Mettille Family cares deeply about education. Both Anita and Charles and six of their eight children are WSU Alumni. They strongly believe the most precious gift is a good education.

In 2007 Charles and Anita Mettille established the Sargent Major Michael C. Mettille Scholarship in memory of their son Michael, and in 2008 they established the Mettille Family Scholarship, both endowed funds in the Winona State University Foundation.

In March 2016 these agreements were combined and revised at the request of Charles and his family to create a single fund called the Mettille Family Scholarship.
