Friends of Ted Foss Memorial Scholarship

The Friends of Ted Foss Memorial Scholarship is created for students majoring in WSU’s Criminal Justice Department. Each recipient must sign a waiver allowing the Criminal Justice Department to conduct a criminal history records check on them.

Criteria

1. Each recipient must be an undergraduate student enrolled fill-time at Winona State University.
2. Each recipient must be classified as a junior or senior and be a declared major in WSU’s Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program.
3. Each recipient must be in good standing at Winona State University with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (4.0=A)
4. Preference should be given to a student who has demonstrated community service in law enforcement (i.e,,police reserves or Big Brothers and Big Sisters Programs).
5. Preference should be given to a student who plans to become a police officer in Minnesota.
6. Preference should be given to a student who demonstrates financial need through WSU’s Financial Aid Office.
7. Each recipient must sign a waiver allowing the Criminal Justice Department to conduct a criminal history records check on them.
