Shields Family Scholarship

Richard Shields was a professor of physics for over 40 years at Winona State University. His wife Barbara was an instructor of physics for over 20 years. His daughter Brooke was a graduate of the WSU chemistry program and is now a professor at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter MN. His son Gary is a graduate of WSU Physics program and teaches physics at WSU. His daughter Amanda is a graduate of WSU Geology program and is the laboratory director at MaltEuro in Winona. The Shields Family strongly believe in the principles demonstrated by WSU and would like to help future physics students succeed in their careers and their life.
